Our range of Zincalume steel panel Potable Water Tanks are designed and manufactured to meet all SABS and AWWA (American Water Works Association) standards according to the recognized code of practice known as AWWA D103-97 for factory coated, bolted steel water tanks for the storage of potable water.
With a holding capacity ranging from 52KL up to 1000KL, the tanks are used by a variety of industries, such as Agricultural, Industrial, Fire fighting, Mining, Municipalities, Water Purification, Desalinization plants, Storing of hazardous chemicals and waste, just to name a few.
The tank’s walls are manufactured from Blue Scope Zincalume® steel, which has a minimum thickness of 1mm. By blending Aluminium with Zinc in an alloy coating, BHP BlueScope Steel’s researchers discovered a way to greatly enhance corrosion resistance. The coating on ZINCALUME® steel comprises of 55% aluminium, 43.5% zinc and 1.5% silicon. It has excellent forming capabilities and is available in high strength grades. As a result, the extensive testing programme indicates that ZINCALUME® steel has an expected lifespan of up to four times that of ordinary galvanized steel (up to 80 years).
The liners for these tanks are manufactured to the strictest standards in our factory. These are manufactured from 550gsm food grade supported PVC materials.
These tanks are fully installed by Hydrotek installation teams and carry a 10 year warranty on the material and workmanship. |
